GREECE: A Country of Important Destinations and Worthwhile Deviations
Many customers put the question: “Why rent a car for my visit of Greece? Are there no trains or buses going here or there?” The answer to this question is evident if you look at a tourist map of our Country. A Country full of first class tourist attractions in a distance of a few kilometers apart. And between them golden sand beaches or traditional villages or pristine mountain lakes and gorges. The bus will take you from point A to point B in a regular and safe manner. But will necessarily forbid you to stop here and there and complete a series of visits in one day. The interurban buses follow a schedule which is not very frequent. So when you go to Delphi you cannot miss the 13th century Monastery of Osios Loukas nor the traditional village of Arachova nor the port town of Galaxidi. You will certainly love going to the beautiful and “out of the previous centuries” town of Nafplio but how can you forgive yourself for failing to visit the classical theater of Epidaurus or the ruins of King Agamemnon's capital of Mycenae or the magnificent Nemea with its very interesting archaeological park and famous wineries? The same applies if you are visiting the north. How else but with a car can you visit in one single day Pella, the capital city of Alexander, the royal tombs of his dynasty in Vergina and the greco-roman town of Dion at the foothills of Mt Olympus?
We at Capital rent-a-car will be happy to provide any information that will help you make a good planning and make the most of your vacation in Greece, a Country of important destinations and many worthwhile deviations.
